Composting at Newbourne Farm started in 1995, when whilst still farming at the site, Rod and Yvonne Hill started to compost green waste from a handful of local landscapers and tree surgeons.

It wasn't long before the high quality of the products they were producing and the cleanliness and efficiency of their processes were recognised, and in 2003 Newbourne Farm Composting started to compost garden waste from across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, selling their quality composts and soils to local landscapers and farmers.

Newbourne Farm currently processes up to 25,000 tons of organic material per year.
